History of Word of Crota

Overview

Word of Crota is a Legendary Void Hand Cannon. TheGamer calls it the only Hand Cannon that can roll Dragonfly with Frenzy (Smallbore, Accurized Rounds, Dragonfly, Frenzy for PvE), and Destructoid points to Repulsor Brace with Destabilizing Rounds. Its RPM is reported as 180 (TheGamer, The Game Post) or 120 (High Ground Gaming).

Acquisition

Drops from the Crota's End raid. Sources disagree on exactly which encounter drops which weapon, so check the current loot table in game. Raid weapons are craftable once you have unlocked the pattern from Deepsight copies (about five), per Grindout and The Game Post. Master difficulty also awards Adept versions. All of the raid's weapons carry the Cursed Thrall origin trait: after a melee kill, final blows with the weapon make targets explode for a short time.
