History of Wayfarer

Overview

Wayfarer is the title granted by the Destinations seal, earned by completing all 22 Destination triumphs. They cover the Year 1 destinations (European Dead Zone, Nessus, Io, Titan, Mercury, Mars) plus the Tangled Shore and Dreaming City from Destiny 2: Forsaken.

Status: unobtainable. Per the guide sources, Wayfarer (together with Chronicler) was retired on 10 November 2020 with the arrival of Destiny 2: Beyond Light and can no longer be earned. Bungie forum threads (citing a This Week at Bungie post) and a PCGamesN title roundup confirm the retirement. The TheGamer article is a pre-retirement guide that does not list all 22 triumphs, so the list below combines it with the in-game triumph text; Nessus and Mercury triumph details were not confirmed in any opened source. Anyone who earned and equipped the title before 10 November 2020 keeps it.

Tips and time

Most of the work is collection-based and Lost Sector clears; expect several hours up to a few days for a full set of collections. The opened sources give no time estimate (the above is an estimate) and no gilding information; since the seal can no longer be completed, the title cannot be gilded. PCGamesN's title ranking describes Wayfarer as low-skill but grindy and RNG-gated; it cites the Braytech Osprey, a rare Nightfall drop, as part of the grind.
