History of Wavesplitter
Revision 14857 by archivist at 2026-10-09 05:23:21
The Wavesplitter is a Void Exotic Trace Rifle made by Omolon, which uses focused sonic waves to superheat electrons into a beam. Its intrinsic Harmonic Laser cycles damage through three power levels during sustained fire; picking up an Orb of Power locks it at maximum.
Acquisition
Exotic engrams (extremely rare world drops), PvE and PvP drops, and Xûr when it is in his rotation.
Catalyst
Added in June 2026. PC Gamer’s June 10, 2026 guide lists Detonator Beam and Attrition Orbs, and says the catalyst is likely from Vanguard Ops, Crucible, Gambit, or Exotic Order payouts in the Seasonal Hub. The guide describes this source as likely; a later route was not independently confirmed. Complete the catalyst’s in-game target-defeat objective to unlock it.
