History of Warsat Down

Overview

Warsat Down is a Public Event where a crashed Warsat must be kept safe while it prepares for Transmat. It debuted in Destiny and was named in Destiny 2 with Destiny 2: Warmind on Mars in the Hellas Basin; it also runs on the Moon and in the Cosmodrome.

Mechanics

Stay in the circle around the Warsat for a 1 to 2 minute timer while Hive waves (Thrall, Acolyte, Knight, Wizard) attack. On Mars the foes are the Grasp of Nokris brood.

Heroic

Kill the elite Hive linked to each of three Shriekers (two Wizards per Shrieker per Shacknews) and destroy each opened Shrieker, quickly enough, to trigger the Heroic version with a boss: Golgoth on Mars or an Ogre elsewhere. Don't stand in the circle too long or it ends before going heroic.
