History of Vorpal Weapon

Overview

Vorpal Weapon is a Trait weapon perk, introduced in Season 7, that gives increased damage against bosses, vehicles and Guardians with their Super active.

Mechanics

Destiny Game Wiki lists bonuses by weapon slot: against bosses and vehicles +20% on Primary, +15% on Special and +10% on Heavy weapons; against Guardians in a Super +50% Primary and +20% Special. Major and Ultra enemies count as bosses and Shriekers count as vehicles. On Rocket Launchers the buff is lost if the weapon is stowed before impact. An Enhanced version adds 5 Stability (or Guard Resistance on Swords). Shattered Vault lists a simpler +15% boss / +50% Super figure, so older figures differ.
