Vorgeth

Overview

"Vorgeth, the Boundless Hunger" is the first boss of the Shattered Throne dungeon in the Dreaming City: a massive Taken Ogre fought in a large open arena with pillars and barricades.

Encounter

1. Clear the basic enemies first. Each Keeper of Petitions Wizard comes with two Vandals and two Goblins. The Vandal snipers hit hard.
2. Kill the Wizards one at a time. Each drops a Petitioner's Mark, a fireteam debuff with a timer that starts at 45 seconds. Collecting another mark resets the timer. A player whose timer reaches zero dies, and dying removes all stacks.
3. At four stacks the debuff becomes Petitioner's Burden, which lets that player extinguish one brazier around Vorgeth.
4. Extinguishing a brazier removes his immunity shield, so damage him right away. While the shield is down, he releases homing Taken projectiles that must be shot down or avoided. If he survives the first shield break, the whole cycle repeats.

Defeating Vorgeth drops Powerful gear.
