Vex Piston

The Vex Piston is a Vex structure in the Encore Exotic mission rooms. Some Vex Pistons must be activated or broken to open the way to the secret chests.

Overview

In Hack the Centaur, the chests are found behind Vex Pistons and Vex conflux puzzles. The layout changes with each rotating version of Encore, so check which version is active.

Location

The Vex Piston rooms sit before the dual Dread boss encounters in later Encore versions.

Interaction

• An active Vex Piston pillar activates a nearby portal.
• In some versions, the Piston must be broken before you head through the portal and take the left exit.
• Hidden chests 2 through 4 need hidden chest 1 opened first. Chest 1 is found through a Vex data pillar and cube puzzle, not the Piston.
