History of Veritas Strides

Overview

Veritas Strides is the Hunter leg armor piece of the Legendary Veritas armor set, a Throne World destination set from The Witch Queen. It is worn by the Hunter class; its flavor text is a quote from a Hidden operative about the nature of truth.

Acquisition

Sold by Fynch in Savathûn's Throne World (listed under "Exploring the Throne World"), unlocked at vendor reputation milestones. Per Destinypedia, leg armor unlocks at reputation rank 2, gauntlets at rank 4, chest armor at rank 6, class items at rank 21 and helmets at rank 27. These rank numbers are from the Witch Queen-era listing and may have changed since.

Set

Part of the Veritas Suit with the other Veritas pieces for all three classes (Titan, Hunter, Warlock). Sources disagree on set bonuses: Destinypedia mentions none, while wewantdestiny3 lists a 2-piece "Lucent Transmutation" (finishers or successive powered melee final blows generate an elemental pickup) and a 4-piece "Lucent Tithes" (finishers on powerful combatants heal and generate loyal Void moths), which applies to the newer armor system.
