History of Upgrade Materials

'''Upgrade Materials''' are the material spent on upgrading crafted weapons and on certain weapon reshaping. They are required alongside Glimmer to level a weapon instantly, and to reshape Adept raid weapons so that the traits that dropped with them can be enhanced.

Fully crafting a weapon uses four materials: Glimmer, Enhancement Cores, Ascendant Alloy and Enhancement Prisms. Glimmer covers intrinsics and weapon perks, Enhancement Cores cover standard traits, and Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Alloys are needed for Enhanced Traits.
