History of Unsworn

Unsworn is a Legendary Strand Trace Rifle with an Adaptive Frame (special ammo) and the Subjugation origin trait.

Overview

Subjugation gives it the effect of Explosive Payload without using a perk slot. Dexerto says it made the Trace Rifle archetype meta again. Recommended PvE roll: Chambered Compensator/Fluted Barrel, Enhanced or Light Battery, Shoot to Loot, Detonator Beam; alternatives Tear and Killing Tally. Rated poor for PvP. Pairs with the Warlock Exotic Cenotaph Mask.

Acquisition

Although Bungie's item data tags its source as Guardian Games 2025, the sources checked say it drops from the Sundered Doctrine dungeon (all three encounters; needs the Final Shape dungeon key). Not craftable. The Guardian Games 2025 trace rifle in the event itself was Keraunios, an Arc weapon, so the source tag here is likely a data quirk.
