History of Umbral Energy

Overview

Umbral Energy is a seasonal currency spent at the War Table to focus Umbral Engrams, which chooses the weapons and armor an engram contains. Each season has its own version, such as Risen Umbral Energy in Season of the Risen and Plundered Umbral Energy in Season of Plunder.

Acquisition

In Season of the Risen, Risen Umbral Energy was earned mainly from Runic Chests at the end of PsiOps Battlegrounds. Decoding a Runic Chest, which costs 500 Psychogenic Intel, yields two units. War Table upgrades added chances from raids, dungeons and non-seasonal playlist activities, and a refund chance when decoding focused seasonal weapons.
