Ultimate

Overview

Ultimate is a triumph that requires the player to complete a Vanguard Ops activity on Ultimate difficulty. The triumph tracks progress toward this specific completion milestone.

How to complete

To complete this triumph, the player must successfully finish a Vanguard Ops activity while the difficulty setting is set to Ultimate.

Practical steps and category

This is an Ops Activities objective for Guardian Ranks: 10, Exemplar. Finish one Vanguard Ops activity at Ultimate difficulty. A higher grade on a lower difficulty does not replace this requirement.

Open Vanguard Ops through the Director, choose an eligible activity, and select Ultimate in its difficulty settings before launching. Build around survivability and reliable damage, meet the activity’s launch requirements, and finish the full run. The rank objective has no separate equipment reward; activity drops are awarded independently.

Since Monument of Triumph, the default Ultimate reward grade is S+, above the A+ threshold. Ultimate and Grandmaster both cap at Tier 5 activity loot; Ultimate increases the challenge rather than adding a sixth gear tier.
