Trash the Thresher

Overview

Trash the Thresher is a triumph in Destiny 2. It is awarded for completing a specific challenge within the Nightfall strike The Arms Dealer. The triumph requires the player to defeat a Thresher enemy while engaging the boss Bracus Zahn. Completing this objective grants 25 score.

How to complete

To earn this triumph, players must enter the Nightfall strike The Arms Dealer. During the encounter with the boss Bracus Zahn, a Thresher will appear. The player must shoot down this Thresher while fighting Bracus Zahn. Once the Thresher is defeated, the challenge is marked as completed, and the triumph is awarded.

Boss-fight strategy

This challenge belongs to the European Dead Zone strike records. During the original The Arms Dealer boss encounter, keep Bracus Zahn alive long enough for the Thresher to appear, then focus the gunship before returning to boss damage. Save heavy ammunition for the ship and remain behind cover between shots. Destroying a ship earlier in the strike does not satisfy the requirement to shoot it down during the boss fight.

The original challenge dates to the 2017 Nightfall version. The Arms Dealer was reworked in 2023, so the original fight sequence differs from the later version. Completion awards 25 Triumph Score; normal Nightfall loot is separate from this triumph.
