Torn Journal Page, 1968

Overview

Torn Journal Page, 1968 is the eighth lore entry in Recovered Materials, Old Chicago, introduced with Monument of Triumph. Its progress counter concerns the book's acquisition, rather than eight repetitions of an unspecified objective.

How to complete

Collect Case Files on destinations while they have an active Distortion event. Travel to the affected destination and interact with its files, then continue collecting files as other destinations become affected. Claim the unlocked chapters in the Recovered Materials, Old Chicago lore category as collection progresses.

The Savathûn's Throne World route contains six destination files; those are one set of collectibles within the wider collection system, rather than a requirement to repeat the same file eight times.

Lore and reward

The entry is a December 1968 journal reflection on the risks of exploration, responsibility toward a rescue team and the prospect of accepting retirement. It concludes the book's recovered records from Old Chicago. The reward is the lore entry, rather than a weapon or armor piece.
