Tommy's Matchbook Catalyst

Overview

Tommy's Matchbook Catalyst tracks the upgrade for Tommy's Matchbook, an Exotic Solar Auto Rifle in the energy slot. Complete 700 combatant defeats with the weapon after obtaining its catalyst. This record does not award Triumph score.

How to complete

1. Obtain Tommy's Matchbook and complete A Good Match from Banshee-44 in the Tower to earn its catalyst. The catalyst quest's activity and Auto Rifle objectives are separate from this record's 700 weapon defeats.
2. Equip the weapon and defeat combatants with its shots. A solo Lost Sector or another enemy-dense activity provides steady progress without fireteam members taking final blows.
3. Once the 700 defeats are complete, apply the completed catalyst in the weapon's details screen.

Reward

The catalyst grants Heat of the Moment. While Ignition Trigger is active, weapon final blows Cure the wielder and sustained fire applies Scorch. This helps sustain prolonged fire, but the weapon's overheating still requires attention to health and incoming damage.
