History of Third Iteration

Third Iteration is an Exotic Scout Rifle dealing Void damage, from Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate.

Overview

Its intrinsic, Tri-Planar Mass Driver, fires a spread of Void projectiles that narrows when aiming down sights. The exotic trait, Amalgamation Rounds, compresses the spread into one dense shot after holding aim; hits mark the target for bonus damage, and defeating a marked target (or a precision final blow) grants invisibility and truesight.

Acquisition

It comes from the Rewards Pass: instantly with the paid track (included with The Edge of Fate), or at level 70 of the free track.

Catalyst

Sources say the catalyst unlocks at tier 90 of the Season: Reclamation pass (free) and needs 700 eliminations. Its perk, Aberrant Combustion, makes precision final blows with Amalgamation Rounds detonate the target in a weakening blast. Sources vary slightly on details; verify in-game.
