The Master

Overview

The Master is the intrinsic perk on New Land Beyond, an Exotic Sniper Rifle that uses Special Ammo. Each precision hit adds a stack of bonus damage to the weapon, and the stacks last until you die, so the bonus grows through a long fight.

Stacking goes up to x100 in theory, but the gains fall off sharply after about x20, so 20 stacks is the practical target.

The perk also massively increases ammo reserves, which helps with a weapon that depends on Special Ammo. The weapon's other perk, Bullseye Bolster, boosts target acquisition, handling, reload speed and stability for a short time after a precision hit.

Tips

• It is strong against bosses, especially ones without an easy crit spot and that come after a wave of adds.
