The Man They Called Cayde

Overview

The Man They Called Cayde is the collection Triumph for the 13 entries in The Man They Call Cayde, the Destiny 2: Forsaken lore book containing Cayde-6's journal. Completing the book originally contributed to the Chronicler seal.

How to complete

Originally, collect the book's chapters from chests. The focused route was Ace in the Hole, the mission in Cayde's Will for repairing Ace of Spades: search the Titan facility and open every Cayde's stash encountered. The nearby-stash notification helped locate unopened caches. Repeat the mission when available through the former Heroic Story Mission playlist to obtain remaining lore; ordinary world chests could also award entries.

After unlocking all 13 chapters, claim the completed lore-book record. The journal covers Cayde's memories, mistakes and relationships with the Vanguard.

Availability

The original Ace in the Hole mission and Heroic Story Mission playlist were removed with Destiny 2: Beyond Light. Chronicler is retired, and the book is preserved in the archived lore collection. Purchasing Ace of Spades from the Monument to Lost Lights is a weapon acquisition route rather than a replacement for the old chest-farming mission.
