Taniks, Reborn

Overview

Taniks, Reborn is the boss encounter in the Deep Stone Crypt raid, set aboard the Rapture station. Taniks is a Fallen mercenary of House of Salvation armed with a Molten Welder. Some outlets call this encounter "Rapture".

Encounter

Taniks is immune to damage until the encounter starts. Players deposit nuclear cores into the correct boxes to disarm the station's nuclear protocol, while Taniks suppresses the deposit boxes. The Suppressor augment stuns him, and after six successful deposits the protocol deactivates.

Aftermath

Players escape through the lower decks in an escape pod as the station crashes into Europa, and the escape room traps Taniks outside. He survives the crash and returns as Taniks, the Abomination, a separate encounter later in the raid.
