History of Taken Wizard

Overview

The Taken Wizard is a Taken Hive caster. It floats and attacks from range, summons Shadow Thrall to swarm Guardians, and is protected by a Void shield that must be stripped before it takes full damage. Its precision spot is the head.

Abilities

• Shadow Thrall summoning: kill the Wizard quickly to stop the summons.
• Void shield: strip it with Void damage.
• Solar Necromantic Gaze: a sweeping attack of variable-speed Solar projectiles. Dodge it.

Vorgeth encounter

In The Shattered Throne, the Keepers of Petitions are a special variant of the Taken Wizard. Four spawn near the walls of the room, protected by Taken Vandals, Taken Goblins and Taken Hobgoblins. Each Keeper drops a sphere when defeated, which grants the Petitioner's Mark debuff, and the mechanic continues from there around Vorgeth, the Boundless Hunger.
