History of Taken Relic

The Taken Relic is the item carried through the Derealize Exotic mission to damage Vrhiisk. After the first set of adds is cleared, two Taken minibosses appear, and killing them drops a relic. Sources differ on the enemy type, describing them as Taken Conduits in some guides and Ogres in others.

The relic is charged by killing Taken enemies until the Torn Between Dimensions buff appears. The carrier does not need to land the kills themselves as long as the adds die. With the buff active, a marker shows the highlighted Blight to deposit the relic into. Destroying two Blights removes Vrhiisk's immunity shield, and the cycle repeats for the rest of the fight.
