The Tablets of Ruin are Hive relics that Oryx said he carved after taking the secret of calling upon the Deep from Akka. In the Books of Sorrow, Oryx says he wore the tablets and used the secret recorded on them; the later Drowning Labyrinth memory likewise identifies Oryx’s chisel as the tool with which he carved them. The plural name refers to the lore relics described in these accounts.
