History of Sundial Obelisk

Overview

The Sundial Obelisks decide what you can take from The Sundial. Each linked Obelisk offers a specific weapon after a run, and you pick one from the options. You start with one link and one reward, and buying buffs from the Obelisks raises both limits.

Location

There are five Obelisks, one on each of these destinations:

• Tangled Shore, next to Thieves' Landing
• Mars, in the BrayTech Futurescape
• European Dead Zone, in The Gulch
• Nessus, on a cliff in Exodus Black
• The Tower, in its Courtyard

Unlocking

The Tangled Shore Obelisk is unlocked in the introduction quest. The other destination Obelisks come from Osiris, and the Tower Obelisk comes from Saint-14.

Linking

Linking an Obelisk costs 15 destination materials plus some Glimmer. Removing all links costs 10,000 Glimmer.

Resonance and Enhancements

Turning in Polarized Fractaline raises each Obelisk's Resonance Rank, which unlocks its Enhancement buffs, bounties and Dawn Armor Mods. Enhancement buffs take effect when bought and last the whole season while the Obelisk stays linked to The Sundial.
