Thesmotae, Subjugated Mind

Thesmotae, Subjugated Mind is a Vex Hydra and the final boss of Override: The Tangled Shore, first seen in Season of the Splicer. It is also the keeper of its own domain within the Outer Nexus network.

Overview

Thesmotae is a Vex Hydra of Ultra rank. The name likely derives from the Ancient Greek "thesmothete," a title for junior archons in Athens.

Encounter

Two Vex barriers close off the left and right sides of the arena. When Thesmotae loses a third of its health, it teleports behind one barrier and becomes immune to damage. A Hobgoblin Scytale Champion spawns; defeating it lowers the shields on three Vex cubes, and destroying the cubes brings the barrier down. The Champion drops a Data Spike, which grants all players boosted ability regeneration when deposited. The cycle repeats for the second barrier before Thesmotae is destroyed.

Rewards

The Vex Chest opens at the end of the activity, and a Key Code opens the Conflux Chest for extra loot.
