History of Spawn of Crota

The Spawn of Crota are the direct servants of Crota, Son of Oryx, identifiable by their yellow and brown coloring. Most were bred by Omnigul, Will of Crota. Their ranks include Blades, Wizards and Ogres, along with disciples such as Sardon and Ir Yût.

In the original Destiny they play a minor role in the base game, though they are the main force in the Hellmouth on the Moon and in Crota's throne world. They are the main antagonists of The Dark Below, where Omnigul leads their second invasion of Earth. Crota's End is the raid where Guardians defeat Ir Yût and then kill Crota.

In Destiny 2 they are one of the enemy factions in the Seraphim Vault in the Cosmodrome, which is open during Siege of the Warmind, The Promethean Code and The First Firewall.
