Shattershafts

Shattershafts is a Volatile bow mod from Arms Week, the bow-themed event that ran in the Renegades era. Arrows and bolts split into several projectiles after a short distance, working like a shotgun spread: each projectile does less damage, but the total at close range is higher.

The mod is earned through a short quest chain from Ada-1 at the Shooting Range in the Tower. The other Arms Week bow mods are Tungsten Bowstring, which increases damage at the cost of draw time and handling and releases an elemental explosion on a fully drawn shot, and Jumpshot, which grants extra damage, faster draw and a short burst of speed while airborne. Arms Week mods are only available for the event's duration and can only be slotted into Combat Bows.
