History of Season of the Haunted

Overview

Season of the Haunted was the seventeenth season of Destiny 2 and the second seasonal content of The Witch Queen's annual pass. It ran from May 24 to August 23, 2022. The corrupted Leviathan returned under Emperor Calus, who is now a herald of the Witness, and the derelict ship orbits the Moon. Calus seeks control of the Lunar Pyramid, and Guardians must contain the Nightmares unleashed aboard his ship.

Story

Eris Morn, Commander Zavala, Empress Caiatl and Crow each confront their own Nightmares while working to sever Calus's growing psychic connection. The Nightmares of Caiatl and of Uldren (Crow) are among those listed.

Activities

• Nightmare Containment is a scalable activity where players summon the toughest Nightmares and burn them away.
• Sever is a weekly mission set in the Leviathan's Underbelly, where players expose Calus's scheme and cut off the Nightmares he controls.
