Season 7, also called Season of Opulence, is the seventh season of Destiny 2. It ran from June 4 to September 30, 2019, and was the final season of the Forsaken Annual Pass.

Emperor Calus invites Guardians to his ship, the Leviathan, where they prove their worth in The Menagerie, a six-player matchmade activity with randomized challenges. Players also go on treasure hunts across the system to unlock upgrades for the Chalice of Opulence, which lets them choose the type of gear they earn. The season's raid was Crown of Sorrow, which was available from June 4, 2019.

Lumina and Noble Rounds

The Exotic Lumina was introduced in Season 7. Its intrinsic perk, Noble Rounds, works as follows: a final blow spawns a remnant that homes in on the player within 15 meters. Each collected remnant adds a stack (up to 5) and refills 4 rounds. Hip-firing spends one stack to fire a Noble Round, which pierces enemies, ricochets off surfaces and homes in on a nearby allied Guardian.

Other additions

  • The return of Iron Banner.
  • Pinnacle gear and three new Exotic quests.
  • The Chronicon, a lore book whose entries unlock as the Chalice of Opulence is upgraded.
  • The Solstice of Heroes summer event.

The season followed Season 6.
