Salvage Keys

Overview

Salvage Keys are a key item from Season of the Deep used with Salvage activities. They open Salvage Chests, which appear at the end of Salvage activities. If you hold a key when you open a chest, it is used automatically and improves the chest's rewards.

Sonar Station upgrades

Upgrades from Sonar Station, unlocked through certain seasonal challenges, change what keys do. The Forgotten Treasures upgrade gives a chance at an extra Deep Engram when a key is redeemed in Salvage or Deep Dive activities, and the Deep Sea Locksmith upgrade gives a chance at a Deep Dive Key when a Salvage Key is redeemed.
