History of Safiyah

Safiyah is Commander Zavala's former partner, a mortal surgeon he met before the Vanguard and The Last City. Season of the Haunted reveals her backstory through a Nightmare of Safiyah in its opening mission. She and Zavala adopted a boy, Hakim, who was killed in a Fallen attack, and they parted ways. Sources disagree on how her life ended.
