History of Renegades

Overview

Renegades is the 45-step main quest of the Destiny 2: Renegades campaign. It starts at Tharsis Outpost on Mars, where Drifter, Eris Morn, Eido and Aunor have set up a base outside Vanguard support to fight the Barant Imperium, led by Dredgen Bael. The campaign has five main missions (per Destructoid) spread between conversations and Lawless Frontier errands, and takes roughly 5-6 hours. Completing it unlocks The Territory War Begins.

The quest also contains the exotic mission Fire and Ice (around step 33, the visit to the Praxic Temple with Aunor), which rewards the Praxic Blade. ProGameTalk refers to the exotic quest as "Praxic's Path"; this is unverified.

Walkthrough

Steps follow the in-game list. NPCs are in the Cantina unless noted.

1. Listen to the opening recording, then speak to Spider and Riliks.
2. Find Vixis, the Piker Splicer, outside the Cantina, then visit the Piker Mechanic.
3. Complete Jobs on Mars and Venus to recover the two stolen keycard caches, then speak to Vixis and return to Spider to upgrade your Renegade Ability.
4. Speak with Drifter and complete the mission Fearsome Retainer. Afterwards find Drifter at his jump ship and return to the Cantina.
5. Listen to the next recording and search for 3 survivors of the attack on Tharsis.
6. Bring your Ghost to Commander Zavala's office in the Tower and speak with him; then hear Eris Morn and Lodi over your Ghost on the Derelict, Drifter via Ghost at Tharsis Outpost, and talk to Blue and Aunor.
7. Ante up with Zephyrus, place 3 banners for the Vex Card Game around the Tharsis Bazaar, and speak to Zephyrus again.
8. Visit the Reformation Reformancer, then plant trackers in the Imperium cargo on Europa, and report to Zephyrus and Aunor.
9. Complete the mission Out in the Cold (Europa). Per Yardbarker's summary you place sensor beacons, defeat a Patrol Thresher, a Goliath Tank and a Boss Psion, and destroy Strand-armored walkers with Eris's Strand launchers to secure a shuttle. Note: a bug stopping this mission has been reported by Shacknews and in YouTube guides; this has not been reviewed here.
10. Speak to Aunor, then Rao. Get the Cabal smuggling callsign from the Pikers on Venus and return to Aunor.
11. Visit the Praxic Temple with Aunor (the Fire and Ice exotic mission).
12. Speak to Aunor and Rao, then visit Armorer Aghol. Recover the uniforms from the Reformation fashion thieves on Mars and sell the extra uniforms in three bundles on the black market.
13. Speak to Rao and Aunor, then complete the mission The Long Con (shut down the shield generator of Nightfall Station per search summaries).
14. Speak to Blue on the Derelict and listen to his plan, then complete the final mission Glory Beyond (destroy Nightfall Station and Premier Lume's flagship).
15. Retrieve Aunor's note from the bar to finish.

Rewards

• Unlocks The Territory War Begins and the Syndicate content.
• Praxic Blade via Fire and Ice (separate exotic quest/mission).
