Redolence of Splendor

Redolence of Splendor is a Light-empowered Shadow Legion soldier, a Barant Cabal unit, that appears aboard the Essence in the Root of Nightmares raid, first seen in Lightfall. In the Scission encounter it is most often an Elite or Ultra Centurion, including the boss unit at the end of each floor. It also appears as other red-bar minors once the Nodes of Splendor and Decay are linked.

Mechanics

Redolences are immune to all damage unless the attacking Guardian holds the Field of Light buff. Its counterpart, the Flux of Darkness, is used against the Redolence of Decay. Buff pickups must be timed with the runners, since grabbing one before a plate is cleansed can lock the team out.
