History of Pulse Rifle

Overview

Pulse rifles are primary weapons that fire short, rapid bursts with each pull of the trigger. They are mid-to-long range weapons whose range falls just short of Scout Rifles, and they reward a steady hand. Burst size varies by weapon: the Exotic Vigilance Wing fires five-round bursts instead of the usual three, while the Exotic Graviton Lance fires two-round bursts.

The type includes Exotic weapons like Vigilance Wing, Graviton Lance, Bad Juju and Outbreak Perfected, a Kinetic Exotic that fires three-round bursts. Legendary examples include Right Side of Wrong, Gridskipper and Nergal PR4, and Piece of Mind drops from PsiOps Battlegrounds.

Some pulse rifles, particularly Psi models with drum magazines, fire 5.56mm rounds.
