History of Primed

Primed is a status a Guardian gains in Eruption, the Iron Banner mode added in Season 18 (August 2022). A Guardian becomes Primed after five consecutive kills without dying.

Once Primed, a 15-second timer starts. Each kill resets it. If the timer runs out, the Primed Guardian dies and their streak ends, which also ends the Hunt for their team. More than one player can be Primed at the same time.

Some outlets report that assists also extend the timer, while others describe only kills resetting it.
