History of Power weapons

Power weapons, also called heavy weapons, sit in the Heavy slot and use heavy ammo, shown as purple ammo boxes. They are generally considered the most powerful weapons in the game and have the hardest-to-find ammo.

Five weapon types use heavy ammo: rocket launchers, linear fusion rifles, swords, grenade launchers and machine guns. Heavy weapons can deal any element, including Stasis, Strand, Solar, Arc and Void. Players usually save them for bosses and high-threat enemies.
