Overview

Power from Ops is a New Light quest given by Ikora Rey ("You're the only one I can trust with this") that teaches the Ops system of the Portal while taking you from low Power to Power Level 200. It alternates 7 Training stages in Solo Ops or Fireteam Ops with power milestones and Order objectives, and finishes with a visit to Commander Zavala in the Tower Courtyard. Power 200 is the soft cap, with Ops, Fireteam Ops, Pinnacle Ops and Crucible Ops available in The Portal.

Walkthrough

  1. Training 1 of 7: pick the Training difficulty on any Solo Ops or Fireteam Ops activity.
  2. Training 2 of 7: select a Challenge Modifier; this raises the Reward Score Forecast.
  3. Training 3 of 7: a locked Time Bonus modifier appears; finish within the time limit to get an A-Grade Reward Package.
  4. Reach Power 90 and complete a Common Order.
  5. Training 4 of 7: select two Challenge Modifiers at once.
  6. Reach Power 120 and complete two Common Orders.
  7. Training 5 of 7: raise the Forecast to an A-Grade by adjusting gear and modifiers, then earn an A-Grade Reward Package.
  8. Reach Power 140 and complete two Daily Objectives (the counter shows 0/3).
  9. Training 6 of 7: select the Player Stake modifier "Avant Garde" (only New or Featured Gear allowed) and earn an A-Grade Reward Package.
  10. Reach Power 170 and complete a Weekly Objective.
  11. Training 7 of 7: add the "No HUD" Player Stake and earn an A-Grade Reward Package.
  12. Visit Zavala in the Tower Courtyard for a reward.
  13. Reach Weekly Rank 4 in the Seasonal HUB and claim the Powerful Engram. Then reach Rank 7 on the Reward Track and claim a weekly armor reward from Zavala.
  14. Reach Power 200.
  15. Acquire and complete a Legendary Order (you may earn one any time you complete a Common Order; your first 4 Legendary Orders each week grant gear with above-average Power), then claim the Legendary Payout.
  16. Complete an Ops activity to earn a Prime Engram and complete a Conquest activity.
  17. Visit Zavala in the Tower Courtyard for the final reward.

Rewards

Zavala gives rewards at several steps. The quest grants the Powerful Engram and the Prime Engram; the other step rewards are not listed here.

Notes

Quest text references Seasonal HUB ranks, so steps may be out of date after later season changes.
