History of Panoptes, Infinite Mind

Overview

Panoptes, Infinite Mind is a named Vex Mind of the Sol Collective. Destinypedia classes it as a Vex Hydra of Ultra rank. It oversaw the Infinite Forest on Mercury, where simulated realities shaped Vex strategy in the real universe. It was one of the first Vex to arrive on Mercury, converting it into a Vex Machine World.

Curse of Osiris

Panoptes was the main antagonist of Curse of Osiris. It trapped Sagira's Light and tried to remove the Guardian from the Forest. It is invulnerable unless shorted out with an Arc charge, which exposes its eye, the only weak point. It summons simulated Vex, Hive, Fallen and Cabal defenders and can delete Guardians from the Forest. Osiris blocks the deletion attempts up to three times once the simulated enemies are defeated.

With Osiris's help, the Guardian destroyed the Infinite Mind, which freed Sagira and ended the threat of the dark future.
