Paladin

A '''Paladin''' is a senior military commander in the Reef, the Awoken realm ruled by the Queen of the Reef. There are always seven Paladins, and they serve directly under the Queen.

Four Paladins lead the Royal Armada, which covers the Reef's fleet, the Corsairs and the Vestian Guard. Two lead the Royal Army. The seventh commands the Royal Awoken Guard, which protects the Queen from direct and indirect threats. Paladins receive an Ascendant Scepter upon promotion.

Named Paladins include Yasmin Eld of the Royal Awoken Guard, and several have died, including at the Battle of Saturn, in the Reef Wars, or at the hands of Uldren Sov.
