History of Ophidia Spathe

Ophidia Spathe is an Exotic chest armor piece for Hunters, introduced in Season 3.

Overview

Its intrinsic perk, Scissor Fingers, grants two throwing knives per charge. Throwing-knife final blows grant consecutive knives a temporary stacking damage bonus, and Gambler's Dodge refreshes its timer. Bungie increased the maximum PvE throwing-knife damage bonus to 200% with The Edge of Fate (July 15, 2025).

Acquisition

• Random Exotic Engram drops and extremely rare world drops.
• Master Rahool offers Novel Focusing for past-expansion Exotic armor, available without a reputation-track reset since July 15, 2025; check current eligibility and requirements. Xûr's old 23 Legendary Shard price is obsolete.
