History of Nightmare of Gahlran

Nightmare of Gahlran is an activity entry tied to the Duality dungeon from Season of the Haunted (May 2022), listed as a Nightfall, set on the Derelict Leviathan and using Duality's art. It refers to the dungeon's first boss, Nightmare of Gahlran, Sorrow Bearer, a Nightmare copy of Gahlran, the Sorrow-Bearer created by Emperor Calus.

Overview

• Type: Nightfall; the boss itself belongs to the Duality dungeon.
• Destination: Derelict Leviathan. The Duality dungeon itself is on the Moon, entered via the Derelict Leviathan. Duality needs the The Witch Queen Dungeon Key and the quest "A Single Thread" from Suraya Hawthorne.

Encounter mechanics

Gahlran is immune until two Standards are taken from Standard Bearers in the Nightmare realm and placed in the Waking World. Guardians then clear the opened rooms and kill the Visions of Gahlran in the Nightmare. After that he turns vulnerable, teleports to the arena centre and becomes aggressive. He uses Solar-corrupted Hive weapons and summons Cabal Legionaries.

The rewards are Adored, D.F.A., Lotus-Eater, Mint Retrograde, Null Composure, Ouster Engine, Salvager's Salvo, The Hothead, The Palindrome, The Slammer, Whatchamacallit and Eutechnology armour.
