Necromantic Strand

Overview

The Necromantic Strand is the final item needed for the Essence of Brutality quest from Shadowkeep. It is a weapon part found on the Moon in the Hall of Wisdom, an underground area beneath the Hellmouth.

Location

From the eastern part of Archer's Line, take the large glowing door into the catacombs and follow the corridors to the hall. The Strand lies on the ground in a room lit by an orange crystal chandelier. Interact with it to complete that task. Route guides date from Shadowkeep's 2019 launch, so the path may have changed.

Acquisition

The Essence of Brutality needs 50 Hand Cannon kills, Moon public events, Lost Sectors and patrols (quests, dailies and weekly bounties do not count), plus the Strand. Finished items are taken to the Lectern of Enchantment in Sanctuary, which rewards Loud Lullaby, a Legendary Hand Cannon.
