History of Mote of Light

Overview

Motes of Light are a limited collectible tied to the Visions of the Traveler and the Overthrow activity. Collecting all 17 merges them into a Mote of Primordial Light, which is used at the Speaker's Chamber to unlock the Exotic auto rifle Khvostov 7G-0X.

Acquisition

• Visions of the Traveler: eight Visions in the Pale Heart, each giving one Mote. The Visions are kept and placed at the Speaker's Chamber later.
• Overthrow: nine Motes in total, from the bosses in The Landing, The Blooming, and The Impasse, one per boss.

Sources differ on whether each Overthrow boss can drop a Mote once per day or only once overall.
