Memory of Vell Tarlowe

Overview

Memory of Vell Tarlowe is a weekly quest from Eris Morn in the Sanctuary on the Moon. It recovers a memento of a fallen fireteam member whose Nightmare haunts her. Part of Luna's Calling, the five-quest weekly chain from Eris Morn added with the Shadowkeep expansion (Season 8). The chain is: Memory of Sai Mota, Memory of Vell Tarlowe, Memory of Toland, the Shattered, Memory of Omar Agah and Memory of Eriana-3; one new memory is available after each weekly reset. Moon content was later moved into the Destiny Content Vault.

Walkthrough

1. Complete the currently active replayable story mission on the Moon (named "In The Deep").
2. Find 25 Mark Fragments, fragments of Vell Tarlowe's Titan Mark. In Nightmare Hunts at Adept difficulty or above, defeat powerful combatants (yellow health bars) with melee abilities. Nightmares give the most progress, and a fragment is only granted on a melee kill.
3. Use the portal in Sanctuary to return the Mark to Eris Morn.
4. Collect your reward from the chest in the Enduring Abyss.

Tip: a melee Super on bosses, or a Shotgun/Submachine Gun to stay close, works well.

• Loot from the chest in the Enduring Abyss (Powerful Gear, Tier 1 in Season of the Undying).

Trivia

• The dead Ghost found in Misplaced Trust belonged to Vell Tarlowe.
