History of Mask of Trepidation

Overview

Mask of Trepidation is a Legendary Hunter Helmet from the Trepidation armor set, part of Nezarec's Nightmare, the armor set from the Root of Nightmares raid. Its flavor text, "Acolytes of Nezarec: Koraxis - I", ties it to the Acolytes of Nezarec theme. The set's other Hunter pieces are the Grips, Vest, Boots and Cloak of Trepidation. Armor has no element, and its stats are randomized.

Set bonuses

• 2 pieces, Bad Dreams: final blows on subclass-debuffed targets have an escalating chance to spawn an Orb of Power.
• 4 pieces, Dream-Devourer: performing a finisher on a powerful combatant grants Devour. While you have Devour, you gain damage resistance versus combatants.

Acquisition

It drops from the Root of Nightmares raid. Mask of Trepidation drops from the final encounter against Nezarec, and helmets from the set can also drop from the raid's first encounter.
