Mark of the Devourer
Rounds pierce targets and inflict corruption. Final blows with this weapon leave behind Remnants.
Mark of the Devourer is the intrinsic Exotic perk on Thorn. Its rounds pierce targets and inflict damage over time; final blows with Thorn leave behind Remnant pickups.
Mechanics
- Damage over time: the target takes a tick every 0.55 s for 1.65 s, starting 0.27 s after the hit. Targets flash white when damaged.
- Remnants: a final blow spawns a Remnant at the target's location for 7.5 s. Within 15 m the Remnant homes in on the player.
- Soul Devourer: collecting a Remnant grants Soul Devourer for 6 s, and the duration can stack up to 10 s. Each collected Remnant refills 4 rounds into the magazine and strengthens the perk.
- The perk applies a -20 magazine modifier.
History
- The Destiny 1 version was nerfed after its first year.
- Thorn was introduced in Season 6.
- Thorn's catalyst, Thorn Catalyst, adds bonus range and stability once completed.
