History of Mara's Cipher

Overview

Mara's Cipher is a triumph in Destiny 2 that requires the player to input a valid sequence and activate the Wishing Wall within the Last Wish raid. It is a Treasure Hunting objective in the Monument of Triumph. It can be done solo, with no fireteam or encounter clears needed.

How to complete

1. Enter the Last Wish raid and skip the direct path to the first encounter. Take the narrow side route, cross the glowing ledges, and wait for the large stone wall to slide open into a hidden room.
2. Inside is a grid of circular plates. Shoot a plate to rotate its symbol. The symbols include owls, snakes and dragons, along with others.
3. Set the 4-column by 5-row grid to the reference pattern from a guide. Shoot two plates back to back, since the rotation has a slight delay.
4. Double-check every symbol before you act. Stepping on the central floor plate while the pattern is wrong resets the whole grid to blank.
5. Once the grid is correct, step on the central plate. The wall opens and the triumph unlocks.

The completed puzzle grants an Ethereal Key and adds Legendary Marks toward Monument of Triumph rewards. Some of the wall's other wishes teleport you to a boss encounter and lock you out of the start until the raid resets, so stick to the verified pattern.
