Machine World

A Machine World is a planet the Vex have converted into a vast computing node. Conversion starts deep in the core, where a Nexus begins the process. A Pyramidion is then built nearer the surface to continue it. Each Machine World has one, and they act as the Vex's main machinoforming engines. Most of the planet's matter is rebuilt on a molecular level into Vex architecture, machinery and Radiolaria.

Status in the Sol System

Mercury is the only fully converted Machine World. It took the Vex only days to convert, and it now runs as a prediction engine that generates trillions of simulated realities.

Nessus is nearly complete, at about 92%, and serves as an archive for digital data the Vex no longer use.

Venus, Io and Mars are partly converted. Venus's current status is unknown. Io's conversion was halted for now when a Guardian destroyed Brakion, the Genesis Mind, at the Pyramidion there. Mars's conversion may have slowed after the Red Legion arrived.

Europa, Kepler and Luna are listed as incomplete.
