History of Lost Encryption Bits

Overview

Lost Encryption Bits are the 15 collectibles needed for the Khvostov quest. Nine come from chests in The Landing, The Blooming and The Impasse, three from each area, and six come from Cysts unlocked through the Alone in the Dark missions from Micah-10. Once all 15 are collected they combine into a Lost Encryption Code.

Collecting

The regional chests sit in hard-to-reach spots, such as behind a waterfall or on a high ledge. Each of the six Cysts holds one bit. Alone in the Dark unlocks by completing Micah-10's Convalescence quests, which begin after Destined Heroes.

Using the code

The code opens the legendary chest in The Impasse. Start at The Impasse, head toward The Divide, go up the stairs and follow the path to a golden chest on a crate. Opening it with the code grants the legendary Khvostov. The Exotic version requires 17 Motes of Light.
