History of Looping Catalyst

Overview

Looping Catalyst is a Triumph in Destiny 2 earned during the Vow of the Disciple Raid, in the phase leading up to the Rhulk encounter. Completing the "Looping Catalyst" challenge awards 10 Triumph score.

How to complete

The challenge applies to the symbol-dunking phase on the stairs leading to Rhulk. Your team must not use more than one big crystal during that phase.

1. On the stairs, destroy the big crystal in the middle. This grants the Leeching Force debuff. Only do this once per symbol phase.
2. Pass the Leeching Force between players using the smaller crystals. Two players swap it while two others convert it into Emanating Force.
3. Never let the Leeching Force run out while you are on the steps.
4. Once you enter Rhulk's arena, the challenge no longer applies and the fight continues as normal.

Failure

If the Leeching Force is lost, you must shoot another big crystal. That spawns a new big crystal and additional Glyphkeepers, and the challenge fails. The team then has to wipe to reset it.

Rewards

Completing the challenge grants bonus loot. While the challenge is active, the extra Rhulk chest gives triple rewards.
