History of Lodestar

Overview

Lodestar is an Exotic Arc Trace Rifle using primary ammo, added with Episode: Heresy. Its intrinsic is Starlight Beam (stable, accurate low-intensity Arc beam). Its exotic trait Arc Alignment charges a battery from Arc damage, after which an alternate reload lets hip-fire apply Jolt. Phase Converter makes the beam fire in bursts while aiming, doing more damage to Arc-debuffed targets and detonating them on final blows.

Acquisition

• Episode: Heresy Season Pass: Premium owners get it at rank 1; the free track unlocks it later. Sources disagree on the free rank (Destructoid says 40, Destinypedia says 35), so confirm in-game.
• Exotic Archive at the Tower per the in-game listing; Destructoid expected it to move to the Monument to Lost Lights after the Episode.

Catalyst

Unlocked at season pass rank 145 (with Act II). After 700 kills it grants Supercharged Matrix: while amplified, much better reload speed, aim assist and ADS movement speed.
